Another month has passed by. We are staying very busy and trying to make the most of summer. Today we had a picnic by the lake and went fishing. Well, Sofie watched the other children fish...no luck. We need to find one of those lakes that has so many Blue Gills and Sunfish in it, that they bite on anything that moves. Now that is fun fishing.
Sofia is getting so tall, everything that was out of reach before, is now within reach and I have to move it, or she does it for me. Funny how I find mail that was on top of my desk in my laundry basket, or my head band under the couch. I guess I have to child proof my house one more level up.
My sweet baby is starting to have toddler moments. She used to go along with everything very willingly, like change her clothes, or diaper. Put on her shoes and socks. Go to sleep easily without a fuss. Now every once in awhile, she lets me know that she doesn't want to do something. Yikes, I'm not used to that. I just have to remember that it's a normal part of child development. I know it's going to get worse as we near the age of two. I wish she could to stay a baby as long as possible, but I also am so excited to see that now she understands what I'm saying and she can follow directions, and I can't wait for her to start talking. It's a pleasure to watch her grow.
