Visiting Old Friends

On Saturday, Jamie, Josie, Sofia, and I went to visit a former student of ours and his wonderful family. Kyle was in Jamie's second grade class and my third grade class. He is now in seventh grade!! And doing very well, we are happy to see.

We still love him!!

Another Glorious Day on the Farm

The weather today was a pleasant surprise. It was supposed to be cool and cloudy, but instead it was warm and sunny. So outside we went for some fresh air and a walk, actually a jog for Sofie. She has to run when she gets outside. She is now enjoying walking through the grass and up and down hills. Our little adventurer.

Nine Months Together

Sofia spent the first nine months of her life in Kazakhstan. Today is special, because she has now spent the second nine months of her life here in the USA. Half of her life there and half of her life here. She surely has come a long way baby!

We will have her exact measurements in 9 days after her 18 month check up. I do know she is over 32 inches tall and weighs a little over 24 pounds. She now loves the swing at the park, and goes down the slides by herself. She prefers to walk to or from the park instead of riding in the stroller. Her walk is more like a run. She can't seem to slow down once an open space is ahead of her.

Singing is still her favorite past time, and I have begun to video her songs. It takes a long time to download videos and tonight is already past my bedtime, so they will be coming soon.

Then and Now....

Sunday Sunday

Today, we enjoyed the San Diego weather, knowing it will soon end. First, we walked to church. And I must say that Sofia seemed to know that we were in a place where she couldn't run around. She sat by me or let me hold her the whole time. We still have to sit in the children's room, because she always is singing a song. It just wouldn't be right to hear a little voice singing "Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Twinkle Twinkle" when the whole church is silent.

Next, we went on a bike ride along Lake Michigan. It was spectacular. Bright blue water and sky.

After naps, Lily came over to play, so we walked to the park for some fun on the playground. I LOVE SUMMER!!!
