We are enjoying everyday of summer! Swimming, skipping rocks in Lake Michigan, going to the playground, playing with friends, strolls in the stroller, and visiting friends are filling our days. Stop the clock! It's passing by too quickly.

Six Months Together
Can you believe that it has already been six months since Sofia arrived?! I can't. Time has gone by so quickly and so smoothly. Sofia is my little side kick. She is so easy going that I am able to take her with me where ever I go.
We have attended two weddings this past month, and she was a wonderful guest at both of them. She was able to sit at the table very nicely during dinner. Then, on to the dance floor of the first wedding (she chased the colored lights on the floor), and out to play on the grassy area with the other children at the second. We had a terrific time at both celebrations.
She sings constantly. I'm not kidding. Rarely is it silent when Sofia is awake.... Good thing she has a beautiful voice and she can carry a tune.
Sofia has mastered walking and is starting to run and to turn in circles. She also has begun to "shake it" when the music starts. Let the dancing begin!
A few more teeth are coming in. Two on the bottom and two on the top are poking through. Now she'll have eight. She has also started putting things in her mouth this month. I was wondering when that would begin. Seems like she's making up for lost time and everything is going in there.... including my shoulder. Ouch.
When Sofia is outside, she must, I mean must pick up any stick, or rock, or leaf within her sight. And then she carries it around with her for as long as we're outside. She also has to examine every hole or crack in the sidewalk with her little fingers. You can't be in a hurry when you're walking with Sofie.
The only time Sofie stops moving and stays in one place, is if there is a book to read. Sofie loves looking at books. She has favorite pages and always turns to them and studies. Good girl. That's an A+ in Reading.
We are having a wonderful time together.

Our New Friends are so much Fun!!!
Our wonderful neighbor's grandchildren are visiting from Japan. Lita and Tyson are such great children. They are a positive influence on Sofia. They play with her. Take care of her. And teach her so many things each day. We are so fortunate to have them in our lives. Oh, and bonus, I get to learn a little Japanese. So far, I have learned how to say: hello, baby, belly, peach, cute, and fart in Japanese!
